Invitation - Crooms families please feel free to join us if you would like to join the Business Advisory Council for next year. Our last session is on May 26th at 8am-9am in room 101J. We are looking to grow our council to include business partners who wish to support our efforts as we support our students and teachers. You can learn more about our work on the CroomsBAC.org site. Our summer retreat, which is the kickoff to all of our planning for next year, is scheduled on August 4th from 8am-12pm which will include a complimentary lunch. The retreat will be in room 101J. Crooms Swim Team
Crooms swim team runs from the first day of school to the beginning of November. Practices are held daily at Seminole High School Pool, and physical paperwork must be on file prior to entering the pool. All those interested should contact Coach Wiedemer at Elaine_Baker@scps.k12.fl.us.

Crooms Academy Parent, Student and Staff Feedback/Input Survey
High schools in our district have the opportunity to take part in the development of a new method to showcase what makes each of our schools unique. SCPS has partnered with Datanautix, a local data analytic firm to create a new more transparent high school report card that will feature parent, student and school staff perceptions as well as other critical data points.

The survey will ask how likely you are to recommend your high school to others and will provide an opportunity for you to tell us about your experience.

Internship Program Update
Both the district and Crooms AOIT had their Internship Expos on April 11th and April 28th. All employers and potential interns are going through the final interview process so students will know if they have been selected. The Crooms students who have been made an offer and accepted the position will have a final mandatory meeting on May 16th from 10:50-11:10am in room 101J. These same students who will be working will report to the first day of summer school on June 1st at 9:00-11:00am in room 101J to get all of their internship paperwork. The rest of the time they will report to work to earn their credits.

Ambassadors for the 2017-2018 School Year
Next years ambassadors have a mandatory first meeting on May 23rd at 2:30-4:00pm in the cafeteria, lunch will be provided. All ambassadors will also report to training on July 31st 9am-2pm in the cafeteria, lunch will be provided.

Summer is Almost Here!

Students who earned a D or F during semester 1 and are in jeopardy of failing a course during semester 2, should be signing up for summer school! The summer school applications may be picked up in Student Services. Students interested in taking Drivers Education over the summer must complete an application in Student Services.

Parking Information
If you have already purchased a parking permit, please see the bookkeeper for your decal. If you do not have a current 2016-17 decal, you are not allowed to park on school property. Your vehicle can be towed at your own expense. Please see the Bookkeeper if you need an application for a parking permit.

Kona Ice - Wednesdays
Kona Ice will be on campus every Wednesday for an icy refreshment. See the truck in the front of the school.

Parents - set up your eCampus login
Parents with your eCampus access, you can observe your child's courses from within the district's learning management system called eCampus. Before you create your account, you will need to know each of your children's user names and network passwords. Also to create your account, you must use the web version of Canvas and not the mobile app. Please see the attached directions
